　　6.other, others, the other, the others 和 another

　　① other 意思是“别的，其他”，泛指“其他的（人或物）”，后接名词单复数均可。

　　② others 是 other 的复数形式，泛指“另外几个；其余的”。其后不能再跟名词，相当于 other+名词。

　　We should be friendly to others.

　　Can you show me other ways to work out the problem?

　　③ the other 表示两个人或物中的另一个，此时的 other 作代词。常与 one 搭配为“one...the other”。

　　④ the others 是 the other 的复数形式。特指某一范围内的“其他东西，其余的人”。

　　I have two dogs. One is white, the other is black.

　　Some students in our class like English, the others like math.

　　⑤ another 只能用于三个或更多的人或物，泛指同类事物中的三者或三者以上的“另一个”。

　　I need another ten minutes to finish the report.

　　注意：

　　1.something, anything, nothing 等复合不定代词跟形容词时，形容词要放在它们的后面。在疑问句中，一般不用 some，只有当问句表示一种邀请或请求，或期待一个肯定的回答时才能用 some。

　　例如：

　　I have something interesting to tell you.

　　我有些有趣的事想告诉你。

　　Can you give me some advice?

　　你能给我一些建议吗？（表请求）

　　2.复合不定代词在句中作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。例如：

　　Someone is waiting for you at the school gate.

　　有人在校门口等你。
