Last Tuesday Fangfang and Mingming entered the English Speech Contest in our school. What they did made me think deeply.
Before the contest, Fangfang thought she did well in English and needn’t make any effort at all. Instead, she spent much time in choosing beautiful clothes for the contest. As a result, she didn’t finish her speech in the contest because she hadn’t been well-prepared and was too nervous.
On the contrary, Mingming, did his best to prepare for the English Speech Contest. He spared no effort to work hard, as well as consulted those who were experienced in speech competition. Just 2 days before the contest, his leg was injured, but he didn’t give up. Consequently, he had remarkable performance in the contest.
In my opinion, Mingming, who never stopped making effort and always tried his best, is the one we should learn from. No matter what we do, we should try our utmost to achieve our goal.
