　　08年北京中考题中一篇满分作文在文章的结尾处写道：In a word， we can learn a lot form this little hero. 作者用In a word概括全篇文章，显得简洁，概括并且具体。

　　来看看2009年北京中考作文中的一篇满分作文这样写道：I often help my parents do housework， such as， washing clothes， cleaning the room and watering flowers. 笔者用了such as进行举例，补充说明帮助父母做家务的种类，显得十分详细。

　　我们来看这样一个例子，在2007年中考满分作文中，有个同学这样写道：But I don’t think what you do is right since you are a student. 他自如的运用了but 和since这两个连词，使整句话变得非常连贯。
