二、利用关键词讲究听力策略
捕捉信息是听力测试的重要一环。不少人听力差的原因就是听录音时抓不住重点，只是盲目地逐句地听。这样就往往会产生“捡了芝麻，丢了西瓜”的现象。要关注信号词，主题句英语中有许多关联词，承结着上下文，如同一盏信号灯。当它们出现在耳际时，我们应立刻反映出它们后面的内容与前文的关系。注意特殊句式和习惯用法，听力是英语运用能力的综合测试，另外，也须体察说话者的语气和语调，这样可以借助词汇和语法理解问题。请看下列一段对话：
A：Where is Meimei?
B：She went to the cinema.
A：With Lucy?
B：No. Lucy went to the library.
这里的关键词是：Meimei，the cinema;Lucy，the library，捕捉语句信息重点的能力要在训练时多加培养，而说话人常常通过句子的重音和语调来强调关键词，“听话要听音”。
例如：听下面一段较长对话，回答1-2两个小题。
① What’s the date today?
A、January 29th B、January 30th C、January 31th
② How is the man going to Harbin with his wife?
A、By ship B、By plan C、By train
听力原文：W：What can I do for you，sir?
M：Well，I’d like two tickets to harbin. I want to see the ice lights with my wife.
W：Certainly. When would you like to go?
M：Tomorrow.
W：Tomorrow, the thirtieth? Let me see. Um, I’m sorry, all the train tickets on that day have been sold out. What about the day after tomorrow?
M：January the thirty-first? Yes, that’s OK.
W：Here you are. Have a good journey!
M：Thank you.
第一小题不难完成。第二小题关键词是：The train ticket on that day have been sold out. 这句话中的train，抓住了这个词，就能判断他们是坐火车去看冰灯了。
