例1：Xiao Wang isas tall asXiao Yu. 小王和小于一样高。

比较级 + than
例：She playsbetter than(she did) last year. 她比去年弹得好。

比较级+ and +比较级越来越...
The baby criedharder and harder. 那孩子哭得越来越厉害。

too+形容词+to do具有否定意义，表示“太…不能， 太…不会”
例：He istoo young to dresshimself. 他还小，还不能自己穿衣服。
注：too 前面有 only, all, not, but, never, simply, just等词，或 too 后有 eager,pleased, kind, willing, ready, glad, quick 等时，
“too…to”表肯定意义
too 意为very，
例：She isonly too glad tohelp others.她非常乐意帮助别人。

the +比较级, the + 比较级越...就越...
例：The happieryou are,the morefriends you will make.你越开心，你交的朋友就越多。

no more +形容词 +than & not more+形容词+ than
no more+形容词：含否定意义，表示(两者)都不…;
not more+形容词 +than：表示程度上的差异，但有肯定意义，意为前者不如后者(但二者都…)。
例1：This book isno more expensive thanthat one. :这本书跟那本书都不贵。
例2：This book isnot more expensive thanthat one. 这本书没有那本书贵。(隐含意思是两本书都贵)

倍数表达法
①. A+be+ 倍数+as+计量形容词原级+as+ B.
例1：This treeis three times as tall asthat one.
这棵树是那棵树的三倍高。
例2：His fatheris twice as old ashe.他父亲的年纪有他两倍大。
②. A+be+倍数+计量形容词比较级+than+B
例“”The Yangtze River is almosttwice longer thanthe Pearl River. 长江差不多比珠江长两倍。
③.A +be +倍数+the+计量名词+of+B
The newly broadened squareis four times the size oftheprevious one. 新扩建的广场是未扩建时的四倍大。

修饰形容词或副词的比较级常用much, far, even ,a little，a bit 等来修饰
例：He runsmuch better thanI.他跑得比我快。
