中考英语知识点：形容词的位置和用法

　　1.现在分词和过去分词用作形容词的位置和含义

　　a.单个分词修饰名词时，放在被修饰的名词之前，分词短语修饰名词时，放在被修饰的名词之后，现在分词表示主动，过去分词表示被动。

　　She has an amazing memory.

　　The man standing at the window is our teacher.

　　C. a surprising result

　　b.主语是物时，常用现在分词作表语，表示主语的性质或特征，主语是人时常用过去分词表示表语，表示主语所处的状态。

　　My job is boring.

　　I am bored with my job..

　　The accident is surprising

　　we are surprised at the news.

　　小练习：

　　1)用disappoint的适当形式填空

　　The film was disappointing.

　　Tom is disappointed.

　　2)用satisfy的适当形式填空

　　The answer was satisfying.

　　He is satisfied with your answer.

　　C. 下列两类形容词常做表语，不用做宾语：

　　1）以a-开头的形容词：afraid, alike, alive, alone, asleep等。
