中考英语知识点：表示声音和希望的词语辨析

　　(一)表示声音的sound, voice, noise

　　1. sound泛指一切声响，指一切可以听到的声音。如:

　　The speed of the light is much faster than the speed of the sound.光速比声速快得多。

　　2. voice表示“嗓音”，指人的说话声或唱歌声。如:

　　Her voice sounds sweet.她的声音听起来很甜美。

　　3. noise是“噪音、吵闹声”，常具有贬义，表示令人心烦的，不和谐的嘈杂声、噪音、响声。如:

　　I couldn’t sleep well because of the noise outside.外边的噪音使我一晚上没有睡好。

　　(二)表示希望的hope和wish

　　wish, hope都可作名词，可数或不可数均可。

　　1. wish表示“愿望、心愿、祝愿”，是一种美好的愿望。如:

　　My wish is to become a doctor.我的愿望是当一名医生。

　　Send him my best wishes.请代我向他致意。

　　2. hope表示“希望”。如:

　　Where there is life there is hope.有生命就有希望。

　　There is no hope of success.没有成功的希望。
