There are four seasons in a year. 此句中season用作名词,意为“季节,时节;旺季”。season还有其它用法,如:
①Season the chicken with pepper. (season用作动词,意为“给……调味,加味于”。)
②Strawberries are cheaper when they’re in season. (in season意为“上市;当令;在旺季”。)
