to remain alive活着[不及物动词]

1.So long as I live,I must study.

只要还活着，我就要学习。

2.Spiders can live for several days without food.

3.The doctors said that he only had six months to live.

to have your home in a particular place居住[不及物动词]

1.Where do you live?

您住在哪里?

2.He needs to find somewhere to live.

他需要找个住的地方。

3.We used to live in London.

我们以前住在伦敦。

living;not dead活的，有生命的[通常置于名词前作定语]

1.We sell live fish.

我们出售活鱼。

2.We saw a real live rattlesnake in the garden.

我们在花园看到一条活生生的响尾蛇。

3.The cat is playing with that live mouse.

猫在戏弄那只活老鼠。

Alive

living,not dead活着的[不可用于名词前]

1.Are your grandparents still alive?

你的祖父母还在世吗?

2.You are very lucky to be alive after that accident.

你大难不死可真幸运。

3.I don’t know whether he’s alive or dead.

我不知道他现在是否还活着。

【注意】

1.live可以用作动词、形容词以及副词;而alive仅用作形容词。

2.live用作形容词表示”活着的”，通常置于名词前作定语;而alive通常不用于名词前。
