构词法

　　英语中有很多单词的构成是有规律可循的。学习一些有关构词法的知识，可以帮你更好地理解和记忆单词，也可以帮你猜测词义和辨别词性。本模块我们学习一下构词法中的合成法和派生法。

　　一、合成法是将两个或两个以上单词合在一起构成新词的方法。

　　【例子】

　　football, classroom, afternoon, without, spaceship,

　　friendship, textbook, grandson

　　二、派生法，也叫前缀、后缀构词法，即由一个词根加上前缀或后缀构成另一个词的构词方法。观察下列例子，然后补全结论部分所缺内容。

　　1. able → unable, smoker → nonsmoker, like →

　　dislike, possible → impossible

　　2. lead → mislead

　　3. net → internet, national → international

　　4. tell → retell

　　5. teach → teacher, act → actor, art→ artist, compete → competition, agree → agreement

　　6. care →careful, use → useless, comfort → comfortable

　　7. actual →actually, proper → properly
