一、并列连词

1.and 表并列：和、又;表顺承，可不译

He and his father ofen watch NBAgames.

He went to themarket and bought some fruits.

2.but 表转折：但是

He failed many times, but he never gave up.

3.or 表选择：或者、还是;表让步：否则、要不然

Which do you like, skating or skiing?

Work hard, or you will miss the chance.

4.so表因果：所以

I got a headache, soI have to see adoctor.

5.for 表因果：因为，位于句中，侧重对前句的解释或推断原因

I musthave rained last night, for it is wet all over.

补充：

and与or在祈使句用法区别

Workhard, and you will catch the chance.

Work hard, or you won't catch the chance.

有点类似于我们所讲的条件状语从句

二、并列连词短语

1.both...and... 两者都

Both my father and my mothertake good care ofme.

2.neitehr...nor... 既不...也不(单数概念)

Neither Jacknor Cindy likes going on a picnic.

3.not only...but also... 不仅而且(就近原则)

Not only the young but also the old aare interested Wechat.

4.either...or... 要么...要么;或者...或者词(就近原则)

Eitheryou or hegets the prize.

5.not...but... 不是...而是...

Notmoney but wisdom iswhat we want.

三、从属连词

1.时间从属连词

when 当...时，既指时间点，又指时间段;可和延续性/非延续性动词连用

Whenyou smile at others, they will smile back.

2.while 当...时，只和时间段连用，和延续性动词连用

She is listenting to music while he is doing his homework.

3.as 正当...时;随着...;一边...一边

We alwayssing as we walk.

4.as soon as 一...就...

I will call you as soon as I get home.

5.until/till 直到...为止

not until 直到...才

Our English teacher didn't go to bed until he finished his work last night.

6.since 自从(用于现在完成时)

I have been a lawyer since I graduated from ZJU.

7.before 在...之前

Before your mothe come back, you had better finish your homework.

8.after 在...之后

AfterI finished my homework,my mother allowed me to go outside.

2.条件从属连词

2.1 if 如果

Ifyou work hard, you willhave agreat chance to be adimitted intoTHU.

2.2 unless 除非;如果不=if...not

Unless you work hard, you won'tbe admitted into THU.

=If you don't work hard, youwon't be admitted into THU.

2.3 as long as 只要

As long as youwork hard, you will make great progress.

3.原因从属连词

3.1because (直接原因，常用词汇)

Iwas late for class because I got up late.

3.2 since(因为、竟然，用于已为人所知的原因)

Since everyone is here,let 's start.

3.3 as已知的原因，和since差不多，但是语气比since弱

We all like her as she is kind.

4.让步从属连词

4.1 although/though

一般来说although和thoug可以替换，although比较正式

Although/Though Iwas tired, I still wanted toskate.

补充：though 还可以作为副词连用，表示然而、不过

It is so old here.I still like it, though.

4.2even though/even if 即使 (一般可以互换)

Even though/ifyou are tired,you still need to work.

4.3no matter+疑问词，疑问词-ever

Whatever youdo, I will love you forever.

5.结果从属连词

so/such...that... 如此...以至

I worked so hardthat I passed the exam.

6.目的从属连词

sothat/inorder that

I work hard so that I can pass the exam.

7.比较从属连词

than 比

I am taller than you.

as...as 和...一样

not so/as...as不和...一样

I can skate as well as you.

8.疑问从属连词

if/whether 是否，一般来说，二者可替换

I don't knowif/whether he will come tomorrow.
